Are you a direct lender?

Yes, we are a UK based direct lender. If your application with us is successful then we are the company that lends you the money.

How much will it cost me?

Our loans are calculated on a daily interest rate of 0.8%. You would pay £24 interest per £100 if borrowed for 30 days.

There are no upfront fees, default fees, late fees or late interest. You can also settle the account at any time allowing you to only pay for the time you borrow.

Upon a successful application you will be provided with your repayment amounts and you will never pay more than the total of these.

Can I settle early?

Yes, our loans are set up for a maximum length of 3 months but you can contact us at any point for a settlement figure. This will be calculated for you and as long as payment is received on the agreed date, we will then close the account.

Please be advised settlements are only valid for the date requested as interest is charged on a daily basis.

How much can I borrow?

The maximum loan size we will consider on a first loan is £200. This may be increased on a future loan, circumstances depending.

It is very important to us that you are able to repay the loan without adversely affecting your financial situation.

The amount you can borrow from THL Direct is determined by your personal circumstances. We use an internal scoring system along with a credit search and affordability calculation to help determine how much we may lend.

How long can I borrow the money for?

The loans we offer at the moment are set up for a maximum of 3 monthly payments and are only suitable as a form of short-term finance.

If you are monthly paid then your payday will normally be your loan payment date.

What if I miss or cannot make my payment(s)?

Your financial health is very important to us and if you find, at any time, that you are unable to repay your loan then you must contact us straight away. We have a number of options to help you that do not involve any additional costs and can significantly ease both your personal and financial stress.

While we do not charge for missed payments be advised we do update with credit reference agencies and non-repayment of your loan will affect your personal credit rating.

We would urge you to contact us as soon as possible so that we can offer our help. Please be wary of some debt management schemes as they may end up costing you a lot more money whereas it costs nothing to come to us directly.

How do I repay my loan?

Your loan is usually repaid by debit card on the loan due date. Part of the application and underwriting process is to record and validate your debit card details for the loan payments.

If you would like to settle the account early then please contact us and we will discuss the methods of payment we will accept.

How will the repayment appear on my bank statement?

When we take payment by debit card your bank statement will list the payments as "THL Direct".

When do I receive my money?

We offer a same-day funding service at no additional cost.

When the funds are paid into your bank account they will appear as being from "THL Direct".

Can I roll over my loan?

We do not have a roll over facility on our loans.
